We are thinking about opening a Southeast Asian restaurant on Long Island (Phillipines, Vietnam, Laos, Burma, Cambodia, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia - not all of them, but maybe 4-5).

There are so many Chinese, Japanese and Korean places on Long Island, and some decent Thai places, but no SE Asian

We were thinking there should a call for SE Asian, but for some reason, no one is doing it. We want it to be authentic, not fusion. It seems that once you go "fusion" you lose authenticity and triple your price. We don't have a location in mind yet.

Would you eat at or want to try a SE Asian restaurant on Long Island? We're trying to see if there is enough call for it. Also, we're trying to set up a "panel" of people to taste some authentic SE Asian dishes to see if they like it and if they would recommend people. Do you think it would work better as sit down or take out?

In Jan. and Feb. 2008 the Nassau County police broke into our home while my husband was in the hospital. He's a Vet out of the Army.

These police with the help of the neighbors are trying to harass us out of our property.

These cops then had all our utilites shut off and our water and electric meters removed from our property, just to further harass. (all utilities and taxes were fully paid up). They also called their friends in from the corrupt Nassau County Bldg. dept. to put 2 padlocks on our front door, not allowing us to enter our own residence. They allege that my husband kept an "untidy house."
