In Baiting Hollow, New York, Long Island Spirits, established in 2007, is the island’s first craft distillery since the 1800s.
There are currently more than 1,600 distilleries operating in the United States. Long Island Spirits was founded in 2007 and is the first distillery to operate on Long Island since the 1800s. The distillery is situated on the picturesque North Fork of Long Island, in the center of the renowned wine area, and is surrounded by centuries-old potato, corn, and rye fields. The North Fork, which shares a microclimate with the Bordeaux region of France, is home to more than 60 wineries and dozens of pre-revolutionary family-owned farms. located in a modern craft distillery that was converted from a twin-cupola barn.
